About Damsel Designs
Hi, I'm Carol and I would like to welcome you to my company Damsel Designs. We design and create glass jewellery, glass dinnerware and vintage fabric bags.
All of our glass beads and plates are made from quality glass and are kiln annealed for natural strength. We add sterling silver and Vintaj Brass pieces to complement the beads.
We also create individual pieces for those wanting their own one-off design, maybe to match an outfit or for a special occasion.
Glass
I first became interested in glass while I was at college in 1995. I then went on to do a glass degree in High Wycombe in the UK where I specialised in glass blowing and kiln-formed glass. Since moving to Brisbane in 2006 and meeting a kindred spirit (Michelle - ChoppyK check out her fab work at www.choppyk.com ), I took up glass bead making and haven't looked back since.
Vintage Fabric Bags
I have always had a love of clothes and fabrics and whilst living in London I became hooked on vintage fabrics and started to create my own clothes. This has evolved and I now create beautiful clutch bags from fabrics sourced in the UK and here in Brisbane.
Parties
Michelle and I also give jewellery parties. We will bring our jewellery to your own home and demonstrate how we make the glass beads for you and your friends. Please drop me an email for more information.....
